Safeguarding and Child Protection

Walmley Junior School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) with responsibility for Child Protection is Mr Stuart Pearson (in his absence the Deputy DSLs, Mrs Sue Smith or Mrs Natalie Harris). We recognise that some children may be the victims of neglect, physical, sexual or emotional abuse and all staff are well placed to identify such abuse and respond quickly and effectively. If you do have a concern about a child’s well-being, please report this to Mr Pearson, Mrs Smith or Mrs Harris; any member of staff as an initial point of contact.
