Eco Council

The Eco Council are pleased to announce that in October 2019 Walmley Junior School achieved the Green Flag Award for Eco Schools. The children have worked incredibly hard to achieve this, working on projects such as building a bug hotel, planting trees, reusing and recycling and much more.

Walmley Junior School is now a silver award winning Eco School!

Also eager to help out in our local community, Year 6 had a great time volunteering to tidy our local Woodland area at Jones’ Wood. We work on a range of topics including Biodiversity, Energy and Global Citizenship. This year our main focus are the topics Waste, Water and Transport and the Eco Council already have many ideas of ways we can help the environment. We are always open to new ideas should friends and family wish to contribute! Keep a look out for our exciting projects going on this year in a bid to help our school and Walmley become more environmentally aware.
